Ambu has its headquarters in Ballerup outside Copenhagen, Denmark, and two production plants in Denmark, a production plant in Malaysia, and a production plant in China.

There are roughly 300 employees working at the two locations in Denmark. Approximately 150 in the production and 150 in the R&D and administrative departments.
Ballerup, Denmark
The Ambu headquarters is located in a small industrial area adjacent to the idyllic village of Pederstrup in Ballerup.
The Municipality of Ballerup is located in the County of Copenhagen, and provides a total of roughly 34,000 local jobs.
Ølstykke, Denmark
Ambu’s development centre is located in Ølstykke, north of Copenhagen. From a traffic point of view, we are centrally located very near to Highway 6 between Roskilde and Hillerød, and the future motorway from Copenhagen to Frederikssund will be right at our doorstep.
Ølstykke is located in the County of Frederiksborg, about 40 km from Copenhagen.
Ambu has a production area measuring over 3,500 sq.m. at its disposal in Ølstykke. The bulk of the production at Ølstykke consists of ECG electrodes.
Penang, Malaysia
Our location in Malaysia is situated on the island of Penang, on the northwest Malaysian peninsula. Ambu’s production and administrative facilities cover 2,500 sq.m., with about 300 employees. The production at Penang pertains mainly to products for Cardiology and Neurology.
Xiamen, China
Xiamen is located in the southern part of the Fujian province. Roughly 1.24 million people live in Xiamen, of whom approximately 800 work at Ambu. Our production and administrative facilities in Xiamen cover 10,500 sq.m.
