Being a niche operator in the global market, Ambu needs to retain and develop unique competencies if we wish to keep up our competitiveness in the long term.
We make a targeted and structured effort to develop the competencies and knowledge of our employees while at the same time making sure that the knowledge and competencies thus accumulated are shared across the organisation.
Sharing knowledge
The sharing of knowledge is a daily commitment for all employees, and to facilitate this process Ambu has established interdisciplinary project teams where colleagues can engage in a mutual sharing of knowledge and projects can be viewed from many different angles.
The AmbuDialogue
At Ambu we see employee development as an ongoing and systematic process that never stops. Each year, all employees at Ambu have a personal development dialogue, the AmbuDialogue, with their immediate supervisor.
Based on the personal development dialogue, a development plan is formulated in which the employee’s needs and desires are correlated with the goals and strategies of the department and the company.
The AmbuDialogue focuses upon both the personal and professional competencies of the employee, depending entirely upon the employee’s particular development needs. Competence development can be achieved via external or in-house courses and instruction, or through ”on the job training”, job rotation or coaching. |
