Long term ECG monitoring is typically performed on Intensive Care Units, High Dependency Units, Coronary Care Units or equivalent. For this purpose Ambu offers a comprehensive range of Blue Sensor electrodes. Some of the patients on these wards stay there for extended periods of time and all of them will require long term ECG monitoring.

The number of electrodes used for long term ECG monitoring on the patient depends on the hospital, department and equipment being used. The electrodes are hooked up to the ECG machine and a long term ECG is recorded.
