Vice President Global Marketing

Since 1937, Ambu has developed, manufactured and sold medical devices. Today, millions of patients and healthcare professionals depend on the functionality and performance of Ambu’s products worldwide. In the past four years Ambu has doubled in revenue to 2 billion DK, and with the new 2020 strategy Ambu is looking to grow to 5 billion in three years.

As the VP Global Marketing, you will play a vital part in supporting this ambitious growth journey. You will be responsible for the continued development of the strategic marketing direction within Ambu, upstream as well as downstream together with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The VP assumes full responsibility of the execution of the marketing strategy into measurable tactical and operational goals. 

You will be leading a team of 18 employees with five sub-team managers in direct report. The VP Global Marketing reports to the CCO.

Growth agenda
As part of entering the new strategic period with ambitious growth targets, it is crucial that Global Marketing becomes an even stronger strategic driver and supporter of the growth agenda. Global Marketing will play an essential role in developing the visualisation business, including broadening the number of products as well as driving clear commercial go-to-market strategies. 

The VP Global Marketing will be a key player in the continued growth of the company, and will have good exposure in transforming the department into being a truly Global Marketing team delivering commercial results. You will join a very stable and financially strong company, with the opportunity to be part of the overall strategy creation and naturally develop your team accordingly.

The Global Marketing team will be key in coordinating the go-to-market approach for visualisation products and how to drive a commercial lifecycle of the existing portfolio across the markets. And not least, Global Marketing will be key in developing marketing platforms that can be utilized across the sales regions. Such platforms include competence building, with a focus on value selling, digital platforms and tools for sales support, customer relationship platforms and digital awareness and lead-generating platforms. 

Commercially driven marketer
You need to be a senior commercially driven marketer, who understands the medical device industry and health care market, and the challenges in bringing medical devices to the market. You are a highly professional individual with a true global mindset and you are used to collaborate and manage stakeholder relations around the world.   

You know how to create a commercial marketing driven culture based on an analytical mindset with a strong business acumen. You have the willingness to set ambitious targets and possess great execution skills. 
Furthermore, you are a great and natural leader and are able to influence and inspire others into developing new innovative solutions.  

IT is mandatory that you are fluent both written and orally in one of the Scandinavian languages as well as English. The role is based at Ambu’s headquarters in Greater Copenhagen.
