Ambu’s commitment to sustainability
Since we were founded in 1937, Ambu’s primary goal has been to deliver innovative solutions that help healthcare professionals save lives and improve patient care.
At the same time, as the leading single-use endoscope company, we are committed to act responsibly towards our colleagues and business partners and the planet on which we all live.
Ambu has always focused on sustainability with the aim of creating real value for the society at large through our products, as well as through our commitment to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, and in full support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (the SDGs).
The rationale behind our sustainability & ESG efforts is to act responsibly towards our colleagues, our business partners and the planet on which we all live. We are committed, through our strategy, to take leaps towards a sustainable future.
We work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
As a signatory of the UN Global Compact, we work with the four principles on human rights, labour rights, the environment and anti-corruption, and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our main contributions are on ‘Good Health and Well-Being’, ‘Gender Equality’ ,‘Affordable and Clean Energy’, ‘Decent Work and Economic Growth’, ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’ and ‘Climate Action’ (SDG 3 5,7, 8,12 and 13).
Taking leaps towards a sustainable future requires forming strong partnerships, and fostering cross-sector collaboration. Therefore, Ambu's CEO Britt Meelby Jensen has co-signed the CEO Statement from Danish businesses along with 26 other CEOs to stand united in a shared determination to take bold and measurable steps for a more sustainable future.
